About Us
The original intent behind creating this website was something that became obvious to me over my years of cottage renting. My cottage is located in the Almaguin Highlands area, near Sundridge, Ontario, just north of Huntsville, an area that is understandably overshadowed by our neighbors to the south, the Muskoka's.
I decided that I would undertake to create a website to showcase what we have to offer. Our untouched, quiet, natural beauty that hasn't been tainted by excessive human disturbance. With the many lakes and rivers in our region we can offer all of the "cottage experience" from canoeing, to swimming, to waterskiing while still retaining our place within the environment for those who seek solitude.
In searching for sites to advertise my cottage I found that we were much overlooked, overshadowed and minimized by other Muskoka focused sites. And so it begins; a site for Central North Ontario to be noticed and appreciated. As this project grew I realized the importance in not limiting listings to only this area but incorporate all of Ontario as well. Even one step farther was to include out of province listings and make it a Canadian wide directory.
